We work directly with the county.

We are licensed and work directly with the county on assisting individuals in filing claims. We perform an audit on the county records and they provide us information and updates on statuses of claims.

What happens after a foreclosure?

In the unfortunate event that your property has been foreclosed through a tax or mortgage foreclosure, the county holds an auction to satisfy unpaid taxes or mortgages. The opening bid at this auction is for the outstanding debts against the property. After the property has been sold, the county takes the amount they are owed and whatever excess remains is due to the previous owner.

The county then sends out surplus notifications letters, but more often than not the letters never reach the previous owner.

Those monies just sit until we perform our audits. We contact the previous owners and assist them in filing the claim. We never charge upfront fees and only get a finders fee when a successful claim is filed. That means that there is no out of pocket expense for the claimant.
